It’s mileage is 194000 (this will go up slightly as it’s in daily use) supported by 25 stamps in the original service book, and MOT history, and it now comes with the personal plate OJV 490 which has been put on since the photos were taken. Comes with MOT to September 2015 (no advisories) although I’m quite happy to provide a full 12 months on sale if required, and 6m warranty on sale.
Bodywork and interior wise it looks really superb (at some point in the past it’s been treated to a restoration and a decent-quality repaint in the original colour) and it drives beautifully too.
The body and paintwork on this one look exceptionally good - it's been well repainted (in the original colour) at some point.. All I can find to criticise is a slight mark in the paint to the front panel on the offside - but it might polish out.
Fitted with switchable automatic transmission, full leather, BMW sports seats, electric sunroof/windows/mirrors, central locking, trip computer, HLWW, front fogs, alloys, rear spoiler, rear headrests, & period stereo with electric aerial. Also fitted with a matching set of 4 Avon TurboSpeed SP 220/55 tyres.
In late summer 2014 I had my workshop go through this from top to bottom with a view to my using it as my daily driver, and they fully serviced it (including replacement of ALL fluids, given it a front brake rebuild, and replaced some of the chrome) , but I wouldn’t be a real motor dealer if it wasn’t for sale. I’ve used it very regularly since, and it’s performed utterly reliably and hasn’t given me a moments concern.
Motodrome are pleased to offer another fine example of one of our favourite 1980’s sports coupes – a BMW 635 CSi Automatic, finished in Zinnober Red with black full leather sports trim.
1986 BMW 635 CSI (E24)
Very nice leather with just a small stitched repair to the drivers outer bolster piping, and rather lovely all round, with nice dash, carpets etc. All I can criticise is the usual E24 problem of a) a slight crack in the dashtop on the passenger side, and b) the heater blower fan only working on max speed,
Starts on the button and performed utterly superbly on test - doesn't display any signs of misfiring, hesitancy or overheating etc, just goes along the road very well indeed. Nice smooth gearbox etc, good steering, firm brakes, no nasty rattles or clunks. All I can criticise is a) the service indicator is u/s and b) the ABS light is currently coming on at 30mph (so it was OK for MOT purposes as it goes out on startup) - one of the rear reluctor rings has lost a tooth
